EDUCATION & SKILL
DEVELOPMENT FOR BIRTH PROFESSIONALS
Are you looking to expand your knowledge & skill set as a birth professional?
At Birthing Families Foundation, we have been skill sharing and developing since the idea for the foundation was conceived. Originally, this took the form of those who founded the Community Doula Connection learning out of pure passion the skills and tools needed to create a foundation from the ground up.
Our commitment to education has been in ongoing development ever since, and as we continue to receive feedback from the families we serve, the professionals we collaborate with and the doulas who are doing the “on the ground” work in our communities, we expand our training to meet their individual and intersectional needs.
Outsourced Training Offerings in Our Local Communities (iWave, DGAFP Cultural Safety, Infant Feeding Resources, ROAM etc)
Outsourced Training Offerings Online with Local and International Partners (JB Inclusivitity Training, MamaMilk.ca, Trauma Informed Care etc)
Outsourced and Internal Training Offerings to Develop the Skills of our Directors and Board Members (BCAPOP, Simply Accounting, Brand Building etc)
Internal Training Offerings Developed to Meet the Direct Ask of Our Doulas, Care Providers and the Families They Serve. To Build Skills and Confidence in Factors Around Doula Care (Language Of Learning, Unplanned Homebirth, Prenatal and Postpartum Support Workshops, Transfer of Care Skill Build)
