Support Your Community

At this time, we are welcoming applications from birth, postpartum and full-spectrum doulas, volunteers and board members within the Vancouver Island Health Authority.

Join BFF in our journey as a Reproductive Justice Charity and support real change in our communities!

BFF is a Canadian Charity whose mission is to fund, facilitate and carry out activities and programs which support birthing families. BFF Programs serve the birthing community with objectives to reduce health disparities for low income, marginalized, racialized, and oppressed populations and for those encountering disability, family violence, and/or addiction.

Birthing Families Foundation asks our membership to embody the models of care that promote inclusivity, cultural sensitivity, trauma informed, and consensual care for all of the families in our communities.

Our Organization commits to providing mentorship and ongoing education and training opportunities in these areas and requires all directors, board members, volunteers and the membership of BFF to take part in these opportunities throughout the year.

We are also welcoming applications from birth, postpartum and full-spectrum doulas within the Vancouver Island Health Authority.

All of our volunteers at Birthing Families Foundation qualify as members and we ask that all applicants be willing to commit to a minimum of 12 months serving our communities and families so we can ensure continuity of care for our vulnerable clients and our programming.

Doulas are currently gifted with an honorarium for their service.
